Wilson Hernandez

Wilson is a doctoral student in the department of Criminology. He studied economics in Peru and obtained a master’s degree in comparative development studies at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales, Paris. 
Before Penn, he worked as a researcher at GRADE (Grupo de Análisis para el Desarrollo) in his country, where he led randomized controlled trials, impact assessments, and systematic reviews on issues related to crime victimization, gender-based violence, and justice.

Research Interests

His research interests lie in evaluating the performance of police interventions on crime and social outcomes, the effect of policy changes on gender-based violence, and the influence of media on intimate partner violence.
