Ph.D. in Criminology
SeungHoon Han is a Korean native who was born and raised in Seoul. He graduated from Seoul National University with a B.A. in Sociology and Economics, and received a Master of Public Policy (MPP) degree from Duke University. As his interests straddle criminology and public policy, his research mainly focuses on statistically analyzing how crime-relevant public policy changes influence criminal behavior. Related to this theme, he is currently working on the topics of alcohol and immigration. He is also deeply interested in examining crime questions through a variety of quantitative methods of econometrics, spatial analysis, and Bayesian statistics. He is simultaneously pursuing a master degree in Statistics along with a PhD in Criminology.
