Sarah Castro

Sarah Castro (she/her) is a master’s student in the Department of Criminology. She grew up in Central New Jersey and graduated from Rutgers University in May 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a minor in Psychology. She has been working at Mathematica (formerly Mathematica Policy Research) since 2017 and is currently working there part time as a Survey Analyst while pursuing her master’s. Sarah’s research interests include race and implicit bias in the justice system; societal and psychological factors that motivate crime; and actions that can be taken to reduce crime. Sarah lives in Bucks County, PA with her boyfriend, giant dog, and chunky cat, and teaches tap dance in her free time.
