Megan Hankinson is a master’s student in the Department of Criminology at the University of Pennsylvania. She recently graduated with the highest honors, summa cum laude, from the University of Central Florida in May 2023, earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Crime, Law, and Deviance and a Behavioral Forensics certificate. Megan’s academic journey has ignited a deep interest in various research areas, including forensic psychology and science, crime analysis and prevention, and juvenile deviance. She has been working at the Igwe Firm since May 2023 where she assists the legal team in dealing with cases involving criminal defense, wrongful convictions, and catastrophic injury. Megan grew up in Southern New Jersey but has embraced Philadelphia as her new home. Looking ahead, she hopes to attend law school to further expand her knowledge and make a significant impact in the field.
