Madison Leiser

Madison Leiser graduated from Heidelberg University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Psychology, and with a minor in Sociology. During her undergraduate studies, she focused on the sociological aspects of the juvenile justice system, working with juveniles in probation and youth detention centers. After graduating, she spent two years gaining work experience in social work, mental health and the criminal justice system, gaining experience with both youth and adults. Her primary research interests are on the reform of the juvenile justice system, focusing on policies and practices used within the criminal system and schools, as well as juvenile reoffending trends, and rehabilitation programs. At Penn, Madison looks forward to expanding her knowledge and research in the criminology field, and continuing to explore ways to branch research into real world solutions.
