Haley Veronica Otero is a current student at the University of Pennsylvania in the Master of Science Program for Criminology. Prior to this, she had obtained a Bachelor of Arts in both Sociology and Criminal Justice alongside a double minor in Legal Studies and Spanish at Mount St. Mary’s University (MSMU) during May of 2023. Throughout her time at the Mount, Haley focused much of her research on intimate partner violence, homelessness, and discrimination. Due to her Spanish background and bilingual ability, Haley has been interested in helping those within the Hispanic and marginalized communities. She hopes to obtain professional experience during her time at UPENN and is interested in research and policies. Outside of her passion for pursuing knowledge, Haley enjoys travelling, being with her pets and gastronomy.
