Emily Fei

Emily Fei is a MS Criminology Student and Thouron Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania, with a BA in History & Politics and an MA in War Studies. She hails from the UK where she has spent 12 years as a civil servant, with 8 years' experience in the UK Home Office working primarily to improve the response to violence against women and girls. In 2020 she helped to establish the Office of the Domestic Abuse Commissioner for England & Wales, working across policy, research, practice and media to build a solid foundation for the new organization and influence change. She has particular interests in improving the criminal justice response to domestic abuse and sexual violence, as well as alternatives to custody, serious youth violence and crime prevention.
