Eden Ralph is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Criminology whose research examines the intersection of key criminal justice institutions, particularly policing and the courts. As an embedded researcher in the Philadelphia Office of the District Attorney, she studies the relationship between police practices and prosecutorial decision-making, with the goal of improving understanding of how these systems interact in practice.
Her work has been published in Sociological Focus. She earned her B.S. in Mathematics from Elon University and her M.S. in Criminology from the University of Pennsylvania. Her master’s thesis examined racial disparities in policing using advanced statistical methods, a line of inquiry she continues to develop in her doctoral research.
