Hi, my name is Colton Lauridson. I recently graduated with my B.A. in Criminology from the University of Montana. During my undergrad, I also obtained minors in psychology and Arabic language studies. While at the University of Montana, I was particularly interested in Conflict Theory, and spent time researching Group Threat Hypothesis and hate crime. Being from Montana, I have a passion for public lands. Because of this passion, I have spent the last year working as a Resource Assistant for the United States Forest Service. As an Apprentice Appraiser for the Forest Service, I spent extensive time gathering and analyzing market data, conducting interviews, and writing government reports. While at the University of Pennsylvania I hope to merge my passions of criminology and public lands into a foundation for a meaningful career. I plan to bring my unique background into the classroom, and in return gain the necessary skills and knowledge for a successful career in federal law enforcement.
