Dilara Bural

Lecturer in Criminology

Dr. Bural earned her MS in Criminology from Penn in 2017. After completing her master's, she worked as a crime analyst with the New York Police Department (NYPD), where she gained hands-on experience in crime analysis and law enforcement practices. She was then awarded the prestigious Marie Curie Fellowship, allowing her to pursue a PhD in England. Her doctoral research investigates the illicit market of product counterfeiting in Türkiye and its broader impacts, including spillover effects on the European Union. Alongside her research, Dr. Bural is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) in the UK, a recognition of her commitment to high-quality teaching and her ongoing efforts to refine her approach to pedagogy.
