My name is Zindziswa Malanca and I am originally from Switzerland. I completed my international baccalaureate in Geneva during which I volunteered with the Gift Box project to donate boxes of necessities for children in need. I attended The University of Toronto in Ontario Canada where I received a BA in criminology, socio-legal studies and Political Science. I graduated in June of 2024. During my undergraduate degree I was involved in many extracurricular activities. I was the vice president, of the University of Toronto, Black Student Association, and the president of the West Indian Association. I worked with Amnesty international as a youth volunteer. My interest in criminology came alongside my desire to know more about the policies that affect our communities. I am particularly interested in understanding law enforcement and it’s relationships to equity and technology. I am also interested in understanding the applications and implications of criminological theory. My goal is to continue my studies with the hopes of becoming a researcher and professor. I speak approximately 7 languages and I have a passion for swimming and musical theater. I am always a friendly face to chat with so if you see me on campus, please say hi! I cannot wait to see what this program has in store.
