Rebecca Umbach is a doctoral student in the Department of Criminology. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Pennsylvania in 2013 with a B.A. and M.S. in Criminology. Her research interests center on the neural substrates of antisocial behavior, and unexplored treatment possibilities. Her current project is a program evaluation of an ongoing mindfulness practice at a public high school in North Philadelphia, where she hopes to see if mindfulness is an effective treatment of non-clinical levels of antisocial behavior in youths.
