Hyeonggeun Choe is a doctoral student in the Department of Criminology. His research interests lie in neighborhoods and crime, the evaluation of policing strategies, and the effects of police technology on lawfulness outcomes. He graduated from Kyonggi University, South Korea, holding a bachelor’s degree in police science and a master’s degree in Criminology. Prior to joining Penn, he worked on a project called Police Scientific Technology Needs Assessment as a part-time research assistant during his master’s degree. Also, He has published in Korean journals on fear of crime among single-person households and crime increase perception caused by the influx of immigrants.
