Dr. Berk interviewed on WHYY about machine learning forecasts for domestic violence reoffenders

Professor Richard Berk was interviewed on WHYY about his recent work with Professors Susan Sorenson and Geoffrey Barnes on the use of machine learning forecasts to help magistrates make arraignment release decisions in domestic violence cases. The analysis shows that the number of  arrests for new domestic violence offenses could be cut in half.
