Declaring a Major

The College of Arts and Sciences states that a student cannot declare their major until the second semester of their sophomore year. The Department of Criminology abides by all policies set by the college and will not make any exceptions to this rule. To read more about the policy, click here.

 

Declaring a major in Criminology is easy, just use the following guidelines:

  • See your College academic advisor to create an official worksheet on Penn in Touch
  • Make an appointment with our Undergraduate Chair, John MacDonald, by sending an email to johnmm@sas.upenn.edu
  • If you decide to declare, you can fill out a Declare Major form in our CRIM office located in room 558 (5th floor) of the McNeil Building at 3718 Locust Walk
